The East Providence Human Resource Department is responsible for recruiting, testing, and hiring municipal employees. The Department administers worker's compensation claims, the Employee Assistance Program, health, dental and life insurance benefits. The Department provides support in the areas of labor relations, contract negotiations and settlement of grievances, as well as Administers the City's Substance Abuse Prevention efforts.
