Yard Debris Pickup Begins

The City of East Providence Department of Public Works/Refuse & Recycling announces spring yard debris collection will begin the first week of April, start date Monday, April 1, 2019. Residents may set out for collection: leaves, grass and all other yard waste material 3 inches in diameter or less. The debris must be placed in paper yard waste bags or barrels labeled “Yard Debris” that one person can lift. No plastic bags with yard debris will be collected. Yard debris must be segregated from regular household refuse. Collection will be on the same day as your scheduled rubbish collection day.

Yard waste paper bags and “Yard Debris” labels are available at the City’s Engineering Office at City Hall at 145 Taunton Ave. 2nd Floor or at the Public Works Office located at the Municipal Garage/Public Works Complex at 60 Commercial Way. Cost for bags are $2 per bundle of five bags. There is no charge for the “Yard Debris” labels.
